Why is the unit called the Chestnut Health Clinic?
Many years ago, before the complex was built there was a beautiful and old sweet chestnut tree on the edge of the site. This was cut down many years ago. There are still chestnut trees nearby.
Also, the medical director of the clinic was the co-founder of a local charity, The Chestnut Appeal for Prostate Cancer.
It was therefore thought appropriate to name the clinic after the chestnut.
The chestnut clinic also incorporates the South West Cosmetic Medical Services Clinic
